- Determine what you think is the most effective way to present information within charts and graphs.
Part 2. Reply to the following post in a minimum of 100 words:
“In my experience as a visual person, I believe one of the most effective ways to present information with a chart and graph is to use color. Color draws peoples eyes naturally to where you want to tell the story. In order to tell the correct story you must know your data, as well as your audience, with some research one could build a very meaningful presentation. Once you have an understanding of the date and audience one plans to present to, build an effective chart to highlight the positive, as well as the areas that need improvement should be fairly straightforward.
The use of words is another area of importance on building charts and graphs, one does not have a lot of room on the chart or graph so one must select words that make sense and add value to the chart. Not only does the word usage provide value to the chart, those particular words can trigger the talking points of the chart. This ensures the presenter stays on topic and delivers the correct message. Overall, a well presented chart and or graph can deliver the message to the audience, and direct the team as a whole to success.” – Jennifer F.
Part 3. Respond to the following post in a minimum of 100 words:
“I haven’t had two much experience with giving presentations but I have seen some very good presentations which I feel were very effective. I think that it is important to know the audience and find information which will support the point that is trying to be made so that you can adjust the charts to use the information which would be best. I think that strategic graphs chart and graphics are also very helpful so that the audience can visually see the facts that the presenter is saying. They should be easy to read and basic so that you don’t confuse the audience or overwhelm them with information.
I think it also important that the presenter knows exactly what they are talking about and is passionate about the subject rather than just reading off information. When someone who is well educated and passionate about a subject you can tell and are more likely to be persuaded because they know what they are talking about. They should also use their research to show concrete facts and effective information which will persuade the audience. By putting in the extra effort into the presentation it will be more effective.” – Thomas P
