Need help with my writing homework on The Shadow Over Innsmouth. Write a 250 word paper answering; The smell and look of fish comes up in relation to the “people” of Innsmouth several times in the story, as do bulging, unblinking, “watery” eyes, immediately (and quite deliberately) reminiscent of fish or frogs, but the flesh of various individuals is described in what appear to be states of disease or decay: “His long, thick lip and coarse-pored, greyish cheeks seemed almost beardless except for some sparse yellow hairs that straggled and curled in irregular patches. and in places the surface seemed queerly irregular, as if peeling from some cutaneous disease.
