The most important attribute that a successful public manager should portray is being able to lead your workers in an effective and efficient manner. A lot of responsibility comes with being a manager, and being able to lead a team is required, and being able to communicate with your team is required when being an effective manager. Experience as a manager is a must but so is knowledge. Being organize is very important because if you are not organized in your position, there’s a good chance that the employees you manage won’t be either. Having respect for your employees if you don’t respect your employees, there will be tension in your workplace. Other attributes include; confidence, delegation, time management, and reliability. Whether you manage five or fifty employees, being a manager comes with a lot of responsibility.

My real-life example is one of our center directors does not have a lot of these attributes she is very reliable, confidence, but lacks the experience, delegation of her core staff. She bullies her staff into doing what she wants them to do. She harasses her staff and makes them feel the need or want to quit their job.
