Published on the 10th of December 2014, Stan Verrett of Team ESPN reported that this particular multi-sport event will be held in Los Angeles, California between the 25th of July up to the 2nd of August 2015 (Maps of World, 2015. Verrett, 2014). On the 25th of July 2015 will be the Opening Ceremony which will be held in Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum (SWGLA 2015, 2015b).
The Special Olympics World Summer Games 2015 is categorized as a multi-sport competition. Around 177 countries all over the world with 3,000 coaches and 7,000 athletes are going to participate in this particular sports event (SWGLA 2015, 2015a) and that a total of 491 member delegation will represent the United States (Verrett, 2014).
