Provide a 4 pages analysis while answering the following question: Rafael Sabatini’s The Life of Cesare Borgia. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide. An abstract is required. The main theme of these books was to highlight the various problems the people of Italy faced because of the tyrannical rule of Cesare Borgia.
Throughout the whole book, Sabatini attempts to revolve around his central idea revealing various occurrences in the life of Cesare Borgia. According to Sabatini, Machiavelli model and illegitimate son of Pope Alexander VI realized the power at the age of 22 revealing reasons for the strenuous leadership (Sabatini 34). Model of a prince worked hard throughout his leadership killing people by seizing enemy states to enhance his political control. He even went against the odds of marrying off his sister to other regions with the purpose of gaining stability politically. This was a case of his sister Lucretia, who he married off three times. The life Cesare Borgia, therefore, is a fascinating, heartrending and at the same time touching story which has attracted attention across diverse book lovers.
Apart from the life of Cesare Borgia, Sabatini was also able to realize his success through writing other book. For instance, in 1915 he was able to write the Sea Hawk, which was a tale revolving around a Spanish Armada who working together with pirates of the Barbary Coast. Consequently, in 1921 he wrote Scaramouche, a French revolution tale revealing fugitive hide in Commedia dell’arte (Sabatini 67). This was a novel, which Sabatini wrote ten years after the event for security reasons. Captain Blood in 1922 was a story about many pirates, which he subsequently added two sequels of short stories. Not forgetting is Bellarion the Fortunate, which he wrote in 1926 about a cunning young individual.
