– Step 2: Follow the case questions and analyze. Then, utilizing the case data, perform the required analysis by choosing appropriate strategic management tool.
– Step 3: Please develop the case report (4-5 pages, Times New Roman, 12 font, single spaced) in formal business language, and with section headings, written paragraphs, and charts/tables, as appropriate.
CASE Questions:
(i) Describe the structure of the oil and gas industry. Based on your assessment, how attractive do you think the industry is, at the time of the case?
(ii) Briefly, what would you say as to how the industry will look in the next 5-7 years (from the timeframe of the case)? (Hint: Which strategy framework (tool) should you be using to assess industry structure and attractiveness? Also, because this is a relatively complex case and with the upstream, midstream, and downstream market segments quite different from each other, please choose only one segment and perform your analysis on that segment only.)
