You are seven years into your career in Early Child Care. You feel now is a good time to open your own child care facility. Also, you have decided that this facility will focus on school-aged children, specifically in an after school program based in a local school. Where you have rented space and have access to the library, recreational facilities, kitchen facilities and their equipment. Additionally, you will prepare a one or two (2) page statement on your out of school care program philosophy. Part 1 (10%):,Prepare a 2 page report summarizing the following:,a. Your interview of school-age child/children to discover what they want to do in their program.,b. Your observation of a school age program.,c. Your interview of at least one (1) family with school-age child(ren) in order to find out what is important to each family (culture, family diversity, education, recreation, etc.). d.
