The portfolio is a showcase of your work. You’ve written a lot this semester—now it’s your time to show it off.
Requirements (in Order)
1. A reflective cover letter of 400-500 words
2. Your three finished major projects. Put the one you are most proud of most first and the one you are least
proud of last.
3. Three revised in-class writings—one per project.
Points to Address
• In your cover letter, discuss the following:
– Explain why you have ordered your projects the way you did.
– What specific course outcomes do you feel as if you have successfully achieved? (Course outcomes are
on the syllabus)
– Which project do you think helped you meet the specific outcomes you’ve selected? Which activities
within that project were most helpful?
– In your own writing, where do you see evidence of the specific outcomes you’ve selected?
– What have you learned about your writing process, research, and/or academia through this class?
How do you imagine these lessons will be useful to you after you exit this course?
• Your revised in-class writings should reflect thoughtfulness and time. Each should be fleshed-out, and you
should provide more detail and depth than the original, first draft version.
– Original prompts can be found on the slidedecks or on the project 3 weekly task list.
