Statistics homework help

Statistics homework help. Split into two parts (one in each semester), this project requires applying the skills and concepts we have learned to a particular social issue by conducting original data collection at Chaminade, displaying that data, and statistically analyzing and testing it.  You will write up a report explaining your results.  The report should be typed in MLA format, double-spaced with 1-inch margins and 12-point Times New Roman font.  You will submit the final report on Canvas.

Instructions for Part 2:
Using your data from last semester, you must complete the following components, typing it up in a report:

  1. For eachof your two questions (categorical and quantitative), perform the appropriate inference procedures.
  • If a confidence interval is appropriate, construct one. You must show all work expected for a conference interval.
  • If a hypothesis test is appropriate, perform one. You must show all work expected for a hypothesis test.
  • If both a confidence interval and a hypothesis test are appropriate, do both.
  • Be sure to check and comment on the conditions/assumptions. For the purposes of this project, if a condition does not seem to be met, comment on it, suggest changes that could have been made to possibly satisfy that condition, explain why that condition is important, and proceed with the interval or test.
    • For example, if your data was not collected randomly, explain how the data collection could have been done differently to achieve randomness, explain why randomness is important, and proceed anyway. (In this project, to quit would not be fair to those who collected their data correctly).
  1. State the conclusions from each of your inference procedures.
  2. (1-2 pages) As a student at Chaminade, evaluate the results of your data analysis.
  • Are you surprised by the results you obtained? Why or why not?
  • Consider and discuss the meaning of your results for Chaminade as a school. You might consider whether the results of this project prompt you to suggest any changes to Chaminade’s teaching, school culture, or school policies.

Please note that part of this project is to correctly discern the appropriate inference procedures for your data.  Thus, the correctness of that determination is part of your grade.  If you have questions, just ask.

All aspects of the report must be typed, including formulas. You cannot take photos of handwritten work and simply place the photos into the document. To type your report, you might find Microsoft Word’s equation tools helpful. To access them, hold down ALT and click = .
