English homework help. OPTION #1: TRADITIONAL PAPER
Please choose three books from the collection of novels we read this semester. The only requirement in terms of content for your paper is that you explore and address one or more of the main themes for the course. That is you should consider the following questions:
1) what national home means versus a global sense of home, 2) what allows an individual to develop a transnational sensibility and/or global aptitude that allows them to be at home in any situation, 3) how literature speaks to the human experience of movement across boundaries
AND the following themes: exile, refugeeism, displacement, movement, transience, bi-culturalism/multi-culturism, boundary-crossing, and transnationalism.
PAPER FORMATTING: Your thesis should be clearly stated and appear in the first or second paragraph of your paper. The paper should be 7-10 pages MLA formatting.
SOURCE MATERIALS: Papers should make use of 5 to 7 secondary source materials (peer-reviewed articles and books) NOT including the primary sources (the novels themselves). Other acceptable sources includes magazines, media sources, and documentaries. The novels should be listed in the Works Cited section. Please make use of our wonderful research librarians to help you find source material for your paper.
