    1. Provide a plan for how to use prayer before, during, and after conflict. You will want to answer the following questions: 1) when will you pray (e.g., are there any trigger events that should alert you that it is time to pray about the situation and also pray for the other person); 2) how will you pray (e.g., will you find a place to pray alone, will you pray with someone else, will you utilize the Lord’s prayer or pray utilizing a particular verse that you find helpful, etc.); 3) how can you pragmatically hold yourself accountable to carry over that spirit of prayer into the actual conflict itself?
    2. Provide a list of at least 7-10 questions you will ask yourself when you enter into conflict that will help you reframe the conflict as an opportunity to glorify God and lead well. Provide a 1 sentence description of why each question will be helpful in reframing your view of that conflict.
  • Based on our readings, lectures, etc., describe the Self-Control/Soothing Mechanisms that you plan to use when you feel yourself getting angry. Describe at least 3 that you think will be most helpful for you and provide a 3-4 sentence description of why it will be helpful and how you plan to utilize that mechanism beforeyou boil over.

    1. Draft a Self-Reflection Essay which will serve as a summation of all of the above exercises within this Conflict Portfolio. You will want to answer the following big-picture questions: 1) When it comes to conflict, what are my current traits; 2) How can you improve in your conflict leadership by utilizing the Emotional First Aid Kit you have prepared; and 3) As a Christian, what is your own theology of conflict (i.e., how do you think the Bible should change the way you engage in conflict)? For #3, you will need to provide at least 5 references to Scripture. The full essay should be at least 12-15 pages, with at least 2 pages of that being devoted to your theology of conflict (#3 above).
