What do you believe to be the cause of nursing home abuse? What can be done to reduce it? Have you, or any of your family members ever had any experiences in which you believed you were being given unnecessary tests or medical procedures? If so, please discuss the situation. If not, research and discuss an example of this phenomena. Florida is the center of Medicare fraud. Discuss and analyze how this crime is done through an example of a Florida case not discussed in the video. In the final video, Dr. McLaren is basically saying that psychiatrists often over and mis-diagnose and over-prescribe patients when a lifetime of pill taking may not actually be necessary.
