“Create your own heuristic or bias”

The assignment is to come up with a bias or heuristic you have seen people engage in. This should be something that has not been written about in the past. The intent is to allow you to unleash your creativity for this assignment, so writing about something that has been done is not in anyone’s best interest.

The paper should include the following:

i. A description of the heuristic
ii. An example of the heuristic
iii. Conditions under which you would observe it
iv. What bias does this lead to?
v. A proposed experiment to confirm its existence. You do not need to run the experiment, just design it.
