1. Speak to two adolescents and try to get a sense of their perception of social media. Ask them how much time in hours they spend on social media including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Provide the average time in hours on your discussion boards. Is social media impacting the individuation of teenagers? Do you believe that society is making too much of social media and that older individuals simply don’t understand it since they were not immersed in it as teenagers?
2. Are there any aspects of today’s environment that might make the resolution of the identity crisis especially difficult? Can you think of anything that might be done to help facilitate healthy identity development?
