You can draw from the experiments with form – e.g. fairy tales, memoirs, oral and folk cultures, dramatic monologue, as well as the deployment of symbols, allegories, metaphors, and motifs. Comment on the significance and impact of the elements you chose.

2. Comment on any three of the following features of postcolonial texts you have read in the course: satire, playfulness, anger, historical focus, and realist/non-realist representations. Choose specific examples from texts to illustrate your argument. Given the wide differences between individual texts, cultures etc. how would you understand the commonalities of postcolonial writing?
