UoP Sexuality Studies How Sexual Orientation is Socially Constructed Annotation
This assignment is exactly like the “annotating scholarly course texts” assignment; however, you must locate your own scholarly sources using the library website and the skills you learned in SPARK’s Research Strategies module. In order to properly complete this assignment, you will also need to use the information from the Creating Bibliographies SPARK module.
Website library:
https://www.library.yorku.ca/web/
Annotate 2 scholarly texts using the library website, one of the topics provided below, and PARCA test from the resource section of SPARK’s Books, Journals, & More Module. Each annotation should be around 300 words and two paragraphs. The first paragraph should be a summary of the text following the “Example of a short annotation” on page 2 of SPARK’s Annotated Bibliography Overview. The second paragraph should explicitly evaluate the text using SPARK’s PARCA Test (Tip: it may be helpful to actually incorporate the words: purpose, authority, relevance, currency, and accuracy in your paragraph). Annotations should be single-spaced and follow the format of the 2 examples from the SPARK Annotated Bibliography Overview with the text correctly cited in APA format followed by your annotation. More information on APA Style can be found in the Creating Bibliographies SPARK module, or by following these links: general information sheet and “APA Style Overview.”
