I would like you to write a 2-page paper (12-point font, double-spaced, 1-inch margins) analyzing the documentary, Samsara (2011; 99 minutes). In Sanskrit, samsara means “wandering” or “a wandering through,” and refers to the cyclical nature of birth, life, death, and rebirth. With regard to this film, samsara seems to represent no less than the totality of human experience. This is a non-narrative documentary (no narrator, no dialog), just a feast of images from around the world. You’ll see wonders and joys, pain and suffering, and everything in between. It’s a fascinating film, sometimes jarring, sometimes boring, often beautiful. If you want the extra credit point, please write an essay on whatever topic interests you (but don’t simply summarize the film)
