Assignment Overview

For this assignment, you will create and submit an outline for your Creative Communication Campaign assignment due at the end of unit 5. At this time, it is a good idea to review the description of the Creative Communication Campaign, Final Version before beginning your outline.

Assignment Requirements

The outline should be one to two pages (it should be done as a Word document and should not yet be in the format of the final assignment such as a video or powerpoint).

The outline should include the following:

  • Briefly identify the campaign (including a specific organization or candidate) and the concept/deliverable (What is the campaign aiming to achieve?)
  • Identify the target audience for the campaign—whom is the creative piece aimed at and why did you choose this audience?
  • Include preliminary examples of how you will put the importance of the campaign’s topic and goals in context (e.g. through a personal narrative, through facts and figures, etc.).
  • Describe the ultimate desired call to action—what specifically is the campaign asking people to do? (It is not enough to “raise awareness” or ask people to “support/oppose” an idea; instead, these goals must be linked to a specific action.)

All creative material must be original. Students cannot copy material from another organization’s website, including slogans, or taglines. If you are unclear on these originality requirements, please inquire with your instructor.
